Ah yesh...that has been the produce of about a month and some odd days of workT_T;;; about 35 pencilled sketches...and MONEY for Otakon in August!^_^V

am tired....so very tiredT_T;;;...these sketch commish are KILLING me!Xo...but..I trudge on nonetheless!^o^...as they need to get done and I need to the money coming in for them^,^V

I know I'll eventually burn myself out with them...but...I'll nip that in the butt before that happens XDehheeehehe...just a few more left to do and then it's on to the coloured commish...of which there are only two...two BIG ones thoughT_T;;;...and then there's some Private Exchange art that needs to get done over the weekend >,< D'OH!...thank GODS that stuff is easy^^;; I can get it all done while spending my holiday weekend at my sis's apartment kittysitting while she, her roommate and my mom go camping...fun funXP...but at least I have the place to myself!^,^WOOT!

okay...so I thought I'd change my winamp skin....so..I go to the site and start downloading some of the pre-made ones...okay...so far so good...only problem being...HOW THE HELL DO YOU GET THEM TO SHOW!!!XO I think I've put them in the wrong fold when I downloaded them or something, cause NONE of them are showing up on my skins list when I go to change itT_T;;

In other news...still no word on my TP proposal...still waiting for it to be pitched to DA BIG BOSSMAN STU!...the meeting keeps getting moved because of things/events that seem to have creeped up in his and everyone's schedules>,<...oh well...this is giving me time to work on the quicky sketch commissions (more info about that posted on my DA journal if you're interested^_^V...don't have to have an account with DA to commish me!^,^)...so that's bringing in some much needed extra $$ needed for bills and OTAKON SPENDING $$!!!..which I'm in DIRE need of after what I'll be paying for the flight and hotel>,<...oh well!XD..it'll be MUCHO FUNS anyways!XDehehe

seems the sun has FINALLY decided to grace us with it's prescense this week...has been nice and sun for a good part of June so far^_^V...it's sunny but DANG windy today...overall really nice weather...not too hot not too cold...tis JUST RIGHT!XD...wish the summer would stay like this all the time>,<...HATE New England humidity!...it SUCKS ASS BIG TIME!Xo

YES!!!! I FINALLY got the 8 sample sequential pages I needed to do for me humble lil ole Tokyopop proposal done and sent!^o^V...now I just need to wait!O_O;;;

...but....now I can breathe again having them done. XD...lots of commissioned work lined up, as I had to open my commishs for emergency fundsT_T;; yea...long story short, someone stole my identity and personal info, made a LOVERLY large purchase on Amazon.com, and now I'm out a good deal of moneyT_T;;...so...the better part of thurs and fri of last week was spent calling Amazon.com to report it, calling the bank to block/cancel my credit card that was used/stolen and going to the police station to file the report. Am waiting for the police to write the report up so I can spend tues going back and forth from the police to the bank again to file out MORE forms so an investigation can be launched and eventually I can get my money backT_T;;;....in the meantime...yea...have to start working on commishs to make up for what was stolenT_T;;...not that I don't like doing commishs...I love to...but...I was hoping I could have held off a little more until I had gotten the one large one I had left to be done. Nope...not going to happen>,<...but..luckily, the emergency call for commishs will be quick and easy...simple sketched/pencilled art...well..I call them simple, others may not^^;;

So yea...other than that...everything is fine and dandy! XD The sun FINALLY came out on Friday after all the freakin rain we've had XP...and it was out for a better part of Saturday with temps in the 70s^_^V...but I had to work for most of the day and missed out on a good deal of that great weather XP...today...yea..back to rain and thundershowersT_T;;;...I do hope tomorrow is better, tis my day off...yea...I'd like to actually enjoy the nice weather for once XP

WAHA!

okay...so I've been home from Anime Boston since Saturday night>.>;; Twas a BLAST though!^_^V of course, keeping in mind I spent the whole time coughing from the postnasal drip and deaf in my left ear due to the blockage in that ear>,<....yea...people must have wanted to strangle me for asking them to repeat themselves so many freaking times because I couldn't/didn't hear them the first time!Xp

Friday I met up with Marty creator/writer/artist of Bizenghast, coming out this summer? from Tokyopop, of which I COMMAND THAT YOU BUY IT! YESHYESH!!!XO)in Kingston, taking the commuter rail...aka da train!...together into Boston where we first stopped to have a nice lunch at Jimmy T's italian restaurant. YUMYUM FOOD STUFFS!XD

Heading over to the con, we got our badges, hooked up with ze loverly TP editor, Lillian, at the Tokyopop booth(of which I also was greeted, GREATLY to my surprise, by a friend of my sis, Julie, who worked with her at the Kingston Borders bookstore. HI ZACH!!!!!^O^*BIG WAVES AND HUGS!!!* XD) We next headed to the first TP panel-"Making Manga with Tokyopop".....there I quickly was introduced to Svetlana Chmakova(her book Dramacon is coming out this summer/fall) and Justin? (sorry dear^^;; forgot your name...I think that's what it was>.>...and the writer of War on Flesh???, also coming out soon from Tokyopop...man...this cold killed me memory brain cells XP)....little did I know that I'd actually be DRAGGED onto the panel!O_O;; I totally didn't know what to do, as I don't have a book coming out like the others did on the panel, so I spent the majority of the time joking back and forth with da Marty XDehe...it's funny how that happened, because right in the MIDDLE of the panel discussion, she blurted out for me to check out the blonde guy sitting in the audience, asking "doesn't he look like Vincent???" OMG! HE TOTALLY DID!!XD with the right clothes and all, he's a DEADRINGER!^O^

After the panel, Lillian, followed by a parade of fans/artists, went off to conduct her official TP portfolio review, leaving us to do pretty much....well...whatever, till she was done and we'd head on out for dinner. Ah yes! we found PLENTY of things to amuse ourselves in the time we had to kill XD

Oh yes! let us NOT forget the two loverly Marty fangals that hung with us while we waited (teehee XD...I slowly turned them over to the Dark Side, as they are now also BettBett fangals as well! WAAAAAHAHAHAHHAA!!! FEAR MY POWER!!XD)HI KENDRA!!! HI MORGAN!!!^O^ THANKS AGAIN FOR DA ROOM!!^O^...what does THAT mean, you ask???...ehe...well....I'll get back to that in a second!XP

So..yeshyesh...after the VERY MUCHLY EXTENDED portfolio review, we followed Lillian out to the streets of Boston to a most loverly french restaurant....now...I'm not very into french foods...with the exception of PASTRIES!!^O^ can NEVER say no to french pastries!XD....so I ordered a loverly NY Strip Steak, medium rare!!XDeheh and we all had a loverly dinner with Svet, Justin and TP PR man Matt( who was thuroughly jealous of the rarity of my steak, as he had ordered the same thing, cooked the same way...*snicker* ehe...I is da special I guess!XDehe).

Dinner took a wee bit longer than Marty and I had expected, as I watched the clock religiously, as we had to make sure we made it back to South Station to catch the train back home....yup...that didn't happen XP....ya see...it's like this! we ended up ordering dessert...that took a bit longer than we should have been there to get, so as soon as it came, Marty and I jetted for the subway, making our way back to South Station to get our train......YEA RIGHT!!!XO THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN!!!!!...yup!...you guessed it! we missed our train by a mere THREE MINUTES!XP (okay...so three minutes is actually longer than you think>,< D'OH!!)....ughT_T;; utterly frustrated and exhausted, Marty got ahold of our loveling new friends and fangals, Kendra and Morgan, humbly asking if we could crash in their hotel room for the night, as that was the LAST train of the nightT_T;; and there was NO way of getting back home at that pointT________T;;; So...back it was on the subway, back to the con and into the hotel...Kendra and Morgan totally SAVED OUR BACON!^O^*BIG LOVIN HUGS!!!!!* We crashed on their floor for the night, waking up freakishly early to hop the earliest train back to Kingston.

Here's the kickerT_T;;;....seems poor Marty got food poisoning (at least that's what we figured out it was) from ze loverly salmon dinner she had at the french restaurantT______T;;; so yea....going back on the train was not a picnic for herT_T;;...luckily we made it back to Kingston in one piece, I said my goodbyes, wishing her well and a safe drive to her sis's, and off she went!^o^

Yeshyesh...she IS alright^_^V thank GODS! cause I went home, showered, then hopped the next train back to Boston and the con, all the time hoping she made it there safely^_^

Back at the con...it's now Saturday...I get back to the con...of course...it's raining in Boston XP...oh well...I was indoors...so no biggy!XD Once back, I made my way back to the dealers room, scoping out what I missed on Friday (no biggy, not much to see anyways, so it was no prob missing stuff on friday^_^V)...the dealers room was smaller than I had expected, but, in perusing it, I came upon the Wirepop.com booth and WOOT!^o^ Svetlana again!^_^V WOOT again!^,^V I was able to get a sketch from Svet and she got one from me in return^_^V

I actually ended up spending the rest of my time at the con at the Wirepop booth. They were EVER so kind to put up with the likes of me while I stayed there, made myself at home, sketching and chatting with them^_^V THANK YOU GUYS!!!^______^*BIG LOVIN HUGS!and makes note to self to do fanart to thank them again!*^,^V

I did get a chance to wander off here and there to do a wee bit of shopping...got myself a new custom traveler set of Copics, Casshern ze live action movie (of which I had been waiting FOREVER to come out!!^O^SCORE!!!XD) and a loverly gift for me friend JJ, who missed the con(next year dear! I PROMISE!!^O^ Keep saving those tips!^_^V)...ah yes! and what sort of person would I be if I didn't purchase Wirepop's very own anthology Wirepop: Papercuts!^_^V I mean, they let me hang with them, the least I could do was support them by buying one of their books!XD....course...stupid me didn't even think to have them autograph it>,< D'OH!! and they were SITTING RIGHT THERE!!!Xo...oh well...next time then^^;;

Ah yes....so at the end of my day....that would be 7pm for me as I had to make sure I caught the train home>.>;;...I headed out into the streets and subways of Boston, back to South Station and back on the train to head home.

Ah yesh...it twas a loverly time...I only wish the day lasted longer, as I missed several panels I wanted to see....the second Tokyopop panel and the Greg Ayres panel.....oh well^^;; there's always OTAKON!!!!^O^ Which I'm already registered for and rearing to go! XDeheheh

Now it's back to life as usual. Monday I FINALLY had an appointment with the doctor to find out what the hell is wrong with meT_T;;...yea...funfun....wax buildup in my ear, thus the blockage>,<, and the postnasal drip and sinus infection, which I pretty much already knew I had. So now I've drops for my ears, Flonase for my postnasal drip and Amoxicillin for the sinus infection....JOY!Xp...but at least I'll be recovering from this whole hooha!XP

Time also to get back to work on my proposal for TP...still lots of work to do on it, but I think I can handle it. A good chunk of the story thought process is done, pretty much most of the story is mapped out, though, because of what was discussed/suggested by my editor during out coffee chat last Thursday, it seems I'll have to rethink some of it to throw in some filler stuff to make it a more interesting story^^;;...but...it's nothing I can't handle^_^V

WAHA!...okay...I think that's enough for now!O_O;;; Time I actually go do something...or other>.>;;

ugh...I've been sick with some sort of sinus/cold/cough something or other thing this weekT_T;;; I was suppose to work most of the week while my manager was away on vaca, yea...that didn't happenT_T;;; I spent most of tuesday in bed sleeping, hacking a lung up...wedneday I felt a little better so I showered and went to work, but...yea...that didn't last too long...my steam ran out FAST! and the owner had to come in and cover the rest of my shiftT_T;;...called in sick yesterday...and now am STILL not at 100%....and I have to work for 4 hours tomorrow and then all of SundayT_T;;...fuckin....I need to work to make money for Anime Boston, or else I won't have any $$ whatsoever for itT_T;;...UGH!...the cold or whatever it is seems to have moved more into my head and causing a slight dizzinessT_T;;...so I have to be careful when sitting up to long or with my head straight up or somethingT_T;;

UGH!! I NEVER get sick...but when I do...it REALLY hits meT_T;;

Being sick SUCKS!....haven't drawn is 5 days...and THAT kills meT_T;;...that...and I haven't been able to work on my TP proposal eitherT_T;;;...just...couldn't think with this cold...and still sort of can't...head is all...funkyT_O;

blah!...well....off to continue catching up on what I missed while I was not on the comp most of the weekTT;;

I is so damn proud of meself!! XD

I have FINALLY mapped out me story for me TP proposal...ALL 3 BOOKS WORTH!^o^V woot!...I have NEVER gotten this far with a story before...I mean...I have a gagillion stories...but they're really fragmented and whatnot...but this story...it's so simple and to the point!XD...course...that's the basics of it...the little stuff has yet to be added...like the funny little quirks that happen between the charas and whatnot...the FUN STUFFS!!XDeheh

So yea...am VERY happy I have that done...just gotta smooth it out a bit more and start to summarize each book. I want to really nail the story done before proposing it so it's ready to rock and roll when the time comes, PRAYING that I get the green light on it^^V...but...that's not going to be for a bit...as yea...kind of need to get the rest of it together before that happens^^;

OKAY! am DEFINITELY going to Otakon this year!^o^V Am in the process this very minute, making plans with me friend that will be venturing with me to the con. She lives in Virginia, so I shall be flying down there, we'll drive down to Baltimore for the con...then head back to her house for the week...and then I'm home again^_^V....and....at the end of THIS month...I shall be at Anime Boston all weekend!XDeheheheheh

It's 1am.....what am I still doing up>,<...besides the fact that I slept in late this morn>.>...I stayed up late doing....taxes....YESH! THEM EVIL THINGS!!! DA TAXES!!!XO...not like it took that long either>.>;; about an hour...and I was done^_^V...thank GODS I keep the previous year's work handy in a comp file, makes it easier for me to file things out^o^

Things are moving along MIGHTY nicely with me proposal that I'm working on for TP....still have a bit to go on it...but...I've the bare bones of it so far...which is a good thing...I just need to fill in the gut work and then WEED out the crap!XP...and when that's all done...THEN I can calmy write the actual proposal work up and do the sequential work that SHOULD accompany it >,<...yea...that's the EASY part...and me thinks me might take some of that work with me to...well...work..tomorrow night and Saturday>.>;;;...so yea^^;

okay dokay...off I go to do...whatever it was that I was doing before...as nothing REALLY exciting is going on right now>,<...nothing really exciting EVER goes on with me XP...ah shitT_T;; just remembered that I have a PE pic to finish...just needs the highlights...so I guess I'll go finish that up and then find something else to do>.>;

First of all...I'd love to thank those of you who wished me a FABOO birthday!^_______________^*BIGGEST LOVIN HUGS TO YOU ALL!!!!*XD...and sorry I didn't reply to all of them individually^^;;...having been a holiday weekend, there were family things to do....funfun!XP....but I DO ABSOLUTELY appreciate and LOVE the birthday greetings!^__________^ I COMPLETELY needed them!...yea...I don't think I could ever thank you enough^^;;

Well....seems I'm floating againT_T;;....the deal I was waiting for a contract with for Tokyopop fell thru, and by no fault of my ownT_T;;;...this is the SECOND time this has happenedT_T;; am starting to see a pattern developing XP....so...am thinking of taking DA BIG LEAP! and try pitching one of my own stories (even though this last project was and still is my idea>.>...though not completely, as I had help from my loving ex-editor^o^V...yup! EX-editorT_T;; she will be DEARLY missed!^o^ she's now a contract person such as myself and the other creators there^^; )...I'm just hoping I can figure out a good enough idea to pitchT_T; am having a phone meeting with one of the editors tomorrow afternoon, so I'm hoping something good comes from it, either a new project or some sort of directionT_T;;...cause I'm SERIOUSLY getting tired of losing projects because the other half of the team craps out on meT_T;;...that won't happen if I'm incharge of the ENTIRE thing, writing AND illustrating!...though...I just hope I'm good enough for the writing part>.>;; I sort of lack confidence in that departmentT_T;;

Well...I DO have one idea I think is simple enough to get me going...but not so simple that it won't fill 3 160 page books...I think I can work with that...the cast of characters for the story is rather small...and the story is UBER simple, but very endearing (is that the right wordT_O??)

So yea....here's praying to ye ole gods that SOMETHING comes from that phone call and that SOMETHING finally freakin' happens soonT_T;; but not too soon...I think that's been my problem...I've been jumping in too fast too soon....I need to take a week or so to really stew on the ideas and then make the pitch or somethingT_T;...yupyup....Curse me for being an AriesTT;;;

And here's another kicker...the idea I have in mind...yea....I found a manga not yet released in the states that seems similar to it....but...I have MORE than enough that keeps it different from that existing story...thank godsT_T;;....oy veyT_T;;....am telling you...just when it seems that everything is going fine and dandy, then BAM! a big ole hug ass boulder is thrown in my wayT_T;; and then it's back to square oneT_T;;;

okay....off to come up with a TP pitch ideaT_T;;
